Transfers

Private transfers in Italy are not a commodity. The distance between a careless airport pickup and a discreet, on-time driver who knows your name, your luggage, your itinerary and the ZTL permits for the historical centre is the difference between a holiday that begins well and one that begins badly. We provide private chauffeured transfers across central and southern Italy with our own network of vetted drivers, late-model Mercedes vehicles, and a single point of coordination — myself — who confirms each leg in writing the day before and is reachable on Telegram throughout the journey.

What we cover

Airport transfers from Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and Rome Ciampino (CIA) to any address in Rome, the Castelli Romani, the Roman coast or the wider region; transfers from cruise ports — Civitavecchia, Naples, Salerno, Livorno, Venice — to and from the central cities; intercity transfers Rome–Florence, Rome–Naples, Rome–Pompeii, Rome–Amalfi, Rome–Tuscany, with optional sightseeing en route turning the transfer into a private day with arrival; train-station transfers Roma Termini and Roma Tiburtina with platform meet for elderly or first-class clients; and long-distance same-day Rome–Milan via private car where rail is inconvenient.

Vehicle fleet

For couples and individuals, a Mercedes E-class with one large and one cabin suitcase per passenger; for families of three to six adults, a Mercedes V-class with split-folding seats and seven full-size suitcases; for groups of seven or more, a Mercedes Sprinter or a Mercedes-engined coach with a luggage compartment. Child seats — infant, toddler, booster — by request at no charge. Bottled water in every vehicle; vehicle air-conditioning maintained at your preferred temperature. Wi-Fi onboard.

Why this matters in Rome specifically

Rome’s historical centre is a restricted-traffic zone (ZTL) for the duration of most days and evenings; entry without the correct permit triggers an automatic camera fine of €83 per crossing, billed to the rental contract or the hotel. Our vehicles hold ZTL access, our drivers know the exact pickup points for each hotel in the centre, and the day-before written confirmation includes pickup address, driver name, vehicle make and registration, and a Telegram contact for the driver. No SMS to a generic number; no surprise at the door.

Who uses us

Private clients flying in to begin a holiday or fly out at the end of one. Family offices coordinating multi-leg Italian trips for principals. Hotel concierges in Rome and Florence outsourcing to a trusted provider. Cruise passengers needing punctual, certain transfers between port and onward connection. Returning clients who simply ask the airport to dispatch the usual driver.

Booking notes

Standard notice is forty-eight hours for transfers within Rome and seventy-two hours for intercity legs; same-day handling is possible for established clients. Rates are by the leg, including the ZTL permit, tolls, fuel and the driver’s time. Tipping is at your discretion; service is included in the rate.

Questions we hear

Meet-and-greet at FCO? Yes — the driver waits at the international arrivals exit with a sign in your name. Flight delay? Tracked in real time; no additional charge. Civitavecchia same-day return? Routine; we include a sightseeing day in Rome on request. Can the driver hold luggage during a stop? Yes. Same driver for multiple days? Yes, if booked in one package.
